Default another suttle report 5/6

Arrived at 0 dark 30, me, my friend Bob and ezra the pot licker! A good hot bite jigging right at sun up. It was good for about 2 1/2 hrs then went dead, like it has been lately! Saw a bunch of schools spread out over half the lake in the morning, but they were gone later after we decided to go get them Went home with 33 I believe! Oh ya! I got schooled big time by Bob, and I mean big time! I would tell ya the count, but i'm not done crying yet!I think in a week or so if ya go up, you had better bring your down riggers for back up! They are spreading out!

Joe,

Thanks for the report. I'll heading there on Thursday for a couple of days. Is the same thing working?

Are you using any corn and if so what flavor? I got the impression from other posts that when cast/jigging they were not using corn? Is this correct?

Thanks jowmomma!
Finally looks like Suttle is getting back to "normal". With them spreading out, Odell warming and Wickiup picking up, the time has finally come for the long awaited serious vertical jigging on Suttle. While it is not for the faint of heart, the challenge of it makes the success so much sweeter than the rapid bites of early spring. I do love it so!!
To those who don't know me, if you see an Alumaweld Striker anchored up in the same general area for hours.....that most likely will be the marshworm!
Troll by and say hi .. if I appear to be napping....no worries thats just my way of lulling them into biting!

Not during a hot bite, but if it slows down, I got regular, anise-krill and carp spit marinated ready to go!
