IFISH chukar hunt October 2008

Sounds like there's enough interest to plan an October chukar hunt. I'll organize it unless somebody else is dying to do it.

Just to get started, how about a camp at or near the lower (north) end of the reservoir? Anybody have any good campsites to suggest?

Dates - How about the weekend after the opener in October? Or the one after that?

Anybody have an issue with young uns being there? I don't as long as they're old enough to hunt and not whine about camping, weather, etc. And you should keep in mind if you haven't hunted these e. oregon river canyons before that it is pretty challenging terrain. I think we can probably agree that rap music is out eh?

the only camp i know of is the state park, but it is all blm. so if it is not posted, no camping. it is open.
