Default Deer Problems

Our deer problems are beginning. Good problem to have for sure. Can't wait for archery season!

Looks like you're gonna have to cut out one of those sections of glass and make it slide open. Then it's just a little chip shot toward backstrap dinner.

Check that deer out. My first impression is that its a blacktail, but first look at the head. Its kind of orange between the ears like a whitetail. Its a buck (yearling, no visible antlers yet), but its got a dark nose like a doe and white eye rings like a whitetail. Then look at the tail. It may be black, but its really long like a whitetail. You may not think you have whitetails in the area, but this deer appears to be a product of a little woodshed hanky panky by some wayward whitetail. I live on the other side of the valley from you and I know we've got whitetails here (though very rare), but I've never seen one. Does anyone else see what I see?

That is a buck in the 2nd picture. You can't tell from the pic, but he does have some nubs just poking through. We have never seen a whitetail around our place, and I highly doubt there are any.

I have definately seen whitetails in the Albany area around the Willamette. That is a blacktail if I ever saw one.

I dont see anything close to a whitetail personally. I am sitting here comparing to the one hanging on the wall and the face looks the same and that is defiantly a black tail its wearing, so I say yes blacktail all the way
