Where to get smelt?

I will be heading over the mountain to catch some sturgeon on Sunday, is there any place that is open early that I can buy some smelt? We will be fishing the Kelly Point area.

Fished Meldrum Bar for a few hours on Wednesday, none for me but I did see 2 hooked and brought to the bank, both lost. In both cases the nets were brought out after the fact.
