New format test, would you like this?
Always shopping for a better toy, Rich sent me this:
Ford-deisel's board
This is a very successful DB, and this is UBB's new product, called threads.
If you like it that much better, I could look into getting it.
Let me know how you feel about it, OK?
Thanks!
Jen

Re: New format test, would you like this?
Jen-
Seems to load slow and I am on a DSL. Is it the software or the sight? What we have works well of late. Unless there is something the makes it that much better besides the look why give yourself a headache.

Re: New format test, would you like this?
The ford site loads faster with my cable but I like the one we have. Either would be fine. You could have picked another brands website to check out though. I feel like I just cheated on my truck lol....

Re: New format test, would you like this?
I don't care about the format, all I know is if you own a Powerstroke like I do that is one dangerous site to visit. After I read some of thier threads I want to go out and spend money on my truck!!!! The guys that regularly post there know a whole lot about how to improve the performance of a PS and how to fix em' if there broke also.
Good luck and tight lines, Jeff

I happen to participate in another forum which utilizes that same UBB. I like it! It's very user-friendly.
I say "Go for it".

Re: New format test, would you like this?
I participate in a saltwater BB out of San Diego that uses this format. (If you don't like diesel engines, check out www.sport-fish-info.com/dcforum/cgibin/dcboard.cgi?) This format allows more information to be displayed than the current format, yet I find it less easy on the eye than the UBB version Ifish and many others use. On balance, if there are bugs in the new version I'd stick with what you have. I'm deeply suspicious of new releases of software -- you'll never find me with any Microsoft software in release "point-zero". :depressed:

Re: New format test, would you like this?
Jeffhead,
I know what you mean. I've been on that site for over two years and have learned a bunch. That site has saved me some serious cash. Hasn't cost me much yet. Emphasis on the the "yet". oooooohhhhh(Homer simpson drooling sound) downpipe, intercooler, superchip, 4 inch exhaust, gages......
I like their new format, on my 48k connection it loads way faster than it used to(3-4 seconds vs. over 20). This format however works good for us here. Should be noted that Jason had to upgrade because they out grew the same software Jen uses. They have over 18,000 members and have 50 - 100 folks surfing the site at any one time. I just thought the new software might be of interest.

Re: New format test, would you like this?
Yip, it does have a steeper learning curve... Might slow you all down for a bit.
I'll think on it. Looks like it has some bugs anyway, so I'll just wait it out....
 Thanks! Continue to post your feelings.
It is a great site, isn't it, Jeffhead?

Re: New format test, would you like this?
Ditto on the Ford-Diesel site I have been posting there since I bought my truck. Lots of knowledge and information on neat toys for the truck. I dont particularly like Jasons new format but they had to do something with all the traffic that site gets.
This site is fine just as it is Jennie, I wouldnt change a thing if you dont have to.

Re: New format test, would you like this?
I say we stick to the format we are using now. I have a Cable Connection, and both load fast, but I'm used to this format and I like it!!
