I am planning on taking a trip up the Selway River and wondered if anyone had been in this area. We are traveling to Lowell then following the selway from there. We are riding horses in for a few days and would like any info if you guys have any. Heard there is some good trout fishing and elk hunting!!

good elk hunting also around the town of elk city, idaho. me and some buddies want to hunt idaho one of these years, do archery here in oregon for elk then rifle for idaho elk.

Very thick timber, tons of elk, some bears and wolves.
