We fished the Long Tom just south of Corvallis for crappie on Monday and didn't catch a one. Managed an 8" bass for our efforts. Years ago, we used to fish that river for crappie and could catch 100 in a day if we tried.
How's Fern Ridge for crappie these days?

...
Could it be that the latter had something to do the former?
