I'm going to be at Kelly Point on Sunday with the family. Seems as though that's been the most productive area as of late. In the past I've done pretty well there in January and February. Lots of area to fish. Bring good smelt and some squid. Weather should be nice as well.

Good luck if you go.

Fished trogan Friday. It was a great day for fishing, the catching was a little slow.Six shorts, one 44" and one tagged 40" with the longest part of the tail choped off  .Four rods from daylight to dark.

King Fish....We fished just down from Kelly Point by the cable crossings. Wed 2 keepers, today 1 keeper and pretty slow. At slack tide today about 2:30 everything pretty much shut down. Smelt seemed to be the bait of choice. Good luck on Sunday.

Hog One, Know why the tail is missing? I ask one of the biologist this same question a few years ago after catching a few 40 inchers with the tails lobbed off. Thier reply was that some of the commercials do it so that they have a chance to get bigger before the sports fishermen get them and maybe by then they will be large enough for the netters to retain. I thought that was wierd but not as wierd as catch fish with no tails.

FM...We were out in the middle just below the cable crossings. I think you followed me in to the ramp at 42nd. I was in the red/black Alumaweld. We didn't pick our keeper up until right at low slack.
