Default keeping crabs

What do you all think the best way for keeping freshly caught crabs for, say, 3 or 4 days? Alive? Cooked? Cleaned and Iced?

Thanks..

Default Re: keeping crabs

If I'm not going to eat mine right away and I want to keep them fresh (alive) I keep them ON TOP of ice. I have a vietnamese friend who's wife ties up their claws and legs and then keeps them in a brown shopping bag in the refrigerator for up to four or five days.
