Default My new Boy Bodhi

After a year or so pouring over several dog breeds that would make a great pet, and a good hunting buddy, and eventually selling my Wife on the idea, I picked up my new Dog. His name is Bodhi (Bo-dee) He's a 3yr old Chocolate Lab trained for retrieving and obedience at Utopia Retriever Kennels, and very eager to get busy. I threw a bumper for a while with him this afternoon, he responds well to his commands, and holds until I release him, i'm sure it will only get better as he gets used to me. After less than 24 hrs i'm pretty impressed with his ability. Here are some pics.

Throw a tennis ball (unmarked retreive) into heavy brush at night and send him after it. Give him all the time he takes. He will become a fanatic.

Kind of scary, We just got a 18 month old chocolate into our rescue program with the same name they spell it BODEE. Does this mean something in the chocolate world just curious as to run into two chocolate boys named the same named the same.
Good luck with your new boy.

He was trained with bumpers only, so thats what i'll stick with, but a good idea, he retrieves real well, and marks well during the day, lots of speed, more energy.

I just saw your pictures of Bodhi. He has great lines and is in great shape. This is an active dog and I hope you keep him that way. Reminds me of certain chocolate stud I hunt with.

John and Bucky

Looks like he has a body that is made for jumping too!!!!!!!! Great muscle definition!

Aaron, I can't wait to see him in action too, he should help with those cross country retrieves, but some of us just like to shoot'em in our laps .
