Default Re: NF Nehalem?? Three Rivers??

Here is the phone number for the N Frk hatchery which will give you up to date info: 503.368.5670. I did call and the river is at 32" which is low and probably really clear. They did say a few fish had been caught this am. Rainbow birdies and small pink pearl corkies work well on this river.

Don't know about Three rivers!

Good Luck

Default NF Nehalem?? Three Rivers??

Well I took my nephew out on the Clackamas on Monday and he caught his first Steelhead. The look on his face when that critter went airborne for the first time was clasic. Now he has the bug for sure. I would like to take him over to the coast this next weekend. How has the catching been on the North Fork. I have never been on that particular stream. I have heard that it resembles the combat fishing that I knew so well in Alaska. I am also considering Three Rivers. Any information for either stream would be very beneficial. We will be on the bank so information on colors and bait for drift fishing is what is needed.

Thanks
