Okuma Aventa Centerpin reel

Has anyone played with one of these? Looks real interesting. So what is the consensus?

I was thinking of matching it with a St. Croix 13' rod or a 13' Rainshadow. Great for fishing floats.

I've played with a centre pin a few times and can only get about fifty feet with a half ounce weight. I need help really bad. I have gotten some of the nastiest backlashes I've ever seen with one. I don't even try to get them out. I have a wastebasket, scissors and a spool of line handy and just start over. I'm open for any pointers..... [img]graemlins/1zhelp.gif[/img]

Had a friend in Calif who used the one that begins with an a something like AUVEY he did alot of surf fishing and could cast the a country mile. I have been kinda thinking about one myself I think they have a place I just haven't figured it out yet.
