Default Pictures of Maui trip - Mahi Mahi (Dorado) were awesome!!!

Hi Guys,

Thought I'd share some brag pics from our vacation last week.
I booked a trip though Capt. Mike Crawford who runs an informative charter site from Maui and we decided on using an outfit called Start me up charters, the boat is named Action (35' Blackfin) and we set out of Lahina at 03:30 hrs, first boat out of the basin.

We traveled 2 hours and ended up south of Lanai by two bouys in about 4000 ft of water, as soon as the crew dropped in some bait we had fish on.

My brother in law is in the long sleeve yellow next to the other client on board with a double hook up.

We had 10 fish in the first hour and a half, one was a wahoo, the guys had me pull out a small rod n reel (which was still bigger than anything I own) and had me throw out and jig for tuna by a small flock of birds and after 10 minutes I pulled up a bait size fish of a foot and a half so we picked up and went 45 minutes to another bouy where we set up the big reels on the outriggers for trolling, as soon as we picked one up on a lure they ran over and tossed out a bait and picked up the last fish of the day for a total of 12 Mahi Mahi, one wahoo and a baby tuna. The crew said we'd draw a croud being the most successful boat and the first ones back. Steve is on the left and Pat's on the right, thase guys worked their butts off for us so if you're in the neigborhood I'd give them a call.

Here's a shot of all three of us who were on board

And one of yours truley.

I've never been so worn out, this was the trip of of a lifetime!!!

Those are some nice mahi !

I have fished with Start Me Up several times, and Capt. Mike...once....he burned the fuel up and goes deep. The fishing is always great by the bouys, drift fishing tune strips for mahi is a blast.

Always a first class trip, it looks like you had fun !!!!

Congrats! You certainly had a better day than the one I was on! We went north on my trip. You're right in that Mike does work hard for you.

I see you fished with Patrick from Start Me Up. I've fished with him many times. He definitely knows his stuff. Fun skipper to fish with, too. He's gotten me into many yellowfin and mahi.
