North Fork - Lewis
Please could I have a fresh report on the No. Fork Lewis? I'm getting that ache in my right arm, that usually means it needs to be holding a rod with a chromer on the other end.

Re: North Fork - Lewis
Been readin your posts, Mark. I've been after the ducks all winter. Finally got some the other day.
Had to drive about 2 hrs to find a place that had any birds at all. My local spots have been devoid of any numbers of birds. Reading the posts about the steelhead on here has gotten me fired up to get out on a fishin stream again. Nice of you to reply. Darele

Three sled trips including/since Flotilla 3 and no steelies, three takedowns, and a 25lb nookie I replaced willfully for good Karma on a new boat. Water still very fast, fish seen in shallows where no boat could or should go. Merry Xmas to all. Now I just need that steelie! Doc.

Re: North Fork - Lewis
If the Lewis is High, how about the Kalama. Would you have any info on it?

Re: North Fork - Lewis
Kaus-
Went this morning.
3 taken on jigs ( a few lost)
1 plunking
2 driftfishing
Only one came home in my rig (buddy got a 6# jig fish), and we fished from 7-1030 am. It has been pretty good at night, and pretty good before noon. I haven't heard about the 1pm- dark crowd tho. Hope this helps.
p.s. lots of boats working the stretch near the hatchery drift today.

Re: North Fork - Lewis
Water level is currently about 10,000 CFS, which is OK if you are a Bruce Gipple. As it goes down (hopefully) the boat fishing should improve. Ideal would be about 6,000, but that probably ain't gonna happen. Better stay home 'til, oh, maybe March....heh-heh.
