Default Better Corkies or Cheaters ?

Which do you like better Lill' Corkies or Cheaters and why ? What colors and sizes do you use the most? I seem to use small stuff ,like size 14 & 12s in flor. red for boondogging for steelhead.I find Corkies are easier to find but Cheaters cost less.............................

RR,
I go with the Corky myself.
I started using them many years ago, with very good succes. Many differnt colors and sizes to pick from. Probably have over 1000+ Corkies.
When I find them on sale (10 for a $1.00)
I stock up big time.
Peach pearl & pink pearl are two of my favorites. In the next to the smallest size.
About 1/4 inch in diameter
Put that with a small piece of white yarn - a little squirt of shrimp oil - oh yeah!
Remember to not use too big of a Corky in regards to the size of hook. I think I've heard it said, no more then half of the distance between the shank and the barb. If you use too big of a Corky, it will get in the way of the hook. A will cause you to miss fish. If you find you need more floatation then use 2 Corkies of a smaller size. This will leave the hook more exposed, and ready for business.
As for the cheaters, how small do they go???
I couldn't tell ya. I've just stuck with what worked for me.

Godd Luck, UB

I prefer Cheaters--often even look just for them. In my experience, however, they're generally more expansive than Corkies. But they seem to have better bouyancy with bait, and a better profile as just a drift lure.

I like the clown colors personally. Pink and glow-in-the-dark clown is my new best friend.

I use both but really like cheaters as I too think they float higher. There are some corkie colors I really like so that's when I use them.
