Default WTB Wire feed Welder
So it looks like I am now looking for a 220v MIG. Looking to spend up to 400ish. Just something to do hobby work. Thanks

If you are looking to spend that much I would recommend the lincoln electric weld pack from Home Depot. I bought mine back in 06 and love it. It is perfect for small hobby type stuff and will even handle large things as well. I love that its 110 also. You can use it pretty much wherever.

If you're going to do a lot of 1/4", do yourself a favor and get a 220 machine, the 110 are handy but they really don't have the amp range needed for much over 1/8". The 220 will do everything a 110 will do and then some. Linclon or Miller, both good machines. Stick with good wire, I like Linclon. My , and worth what you paid for it, except I am a former certified weldor!
