Longbeach this weekend

I am going down to Longbeach for Razors this weekend. Should I take my Drift Boat? Are there any good rivers to drift for stealhead? How about bank fish? I know about Big creek and me and this creek do not get along very well. I have a Washington license and an Oregon one as well. Any help would be great.

How low of tides and what time for Longbeach for the next week? I was thinking about taking my wife to get some Razors as well.Do you have a web site to go to? Thanks for any info. Tom

Here's a link to the bulletin that was issued in November http://www.wa.gov/wdfw/do/nov01/nov0901b.htm The dates are Dec 30, 31, and Jan 1. The tides are decent(-0.8,-1,and-10, and the time of the tides is 6:40, 7:24, and 8:09 PM. The WDFW has not cleared the dig as of yet, but I suspect they will tomorrow or Friday. Were going Sunday night to Ocean Shores, we got 3 limits on the last dig in less than an hour. :smile:

Hello Talons:

I fished the Elochoman River last Thursday and landed a nice 8lber and released a very bright native. Fished the west bank near the hatchery parking lot just upstream from where the creek runs into the hatchery. (the hatchery has been closed for the last three years) Bounced eggs with pink yarn. Got em both in the middle of the stream.

Saw 3 other fish for 5 fisherman in 4 hours.

The Elochoman is just west of Cathlament on HWY 4 on the way to Longbeach. Just follow the brown hatchery signs. Good luck! Jeff

I planned to go, but I have to work all three days of the dig. :depressed: It's just not fair, the last dig I could only go a Thursday, 50 mph sustained winds and gust to 85 put a real hurt on my success, 1 clam. Good luck if you get to go.
