OK, the answer to the question of the originnal shot is one of the places a 65 pound mount actually fit.
Here is the deal. reeldick caught that fish.
Face it, we all want to land a 65 pound salmon. Go to Costco. Pick up three 20 pound bags of potatos and a gallon of milk with one arm. Hold and smile for the camera. And somehow he entrusted me to watch over his mounts while he was away for awhile.
What can I say, I'm a fish freak. So Places were found for the king, the sailfish and the grayling. It was either where they ended up or the attic.
reeldick has decided to see america for the next year or so, and is going to take advantage of retirement by hitting the road. He will take off on a journey through the country basically visiting places when it is cool instead of hot and mild instead of frigid. And where the fishing is good.
North for the summer and South for the winter.
He tells us he will be back for springer season - no doubt that 20+ pounder he rounded out the last day of the Columbia season will keep him focused.
So those of you who know him should give him a shout before he hits the road - you know how wireless is in the Bitteroots and all
Thanks, Dick, for the loan!
