OSU Turkey
Had my friend jake come down over the weekend to do a little turkey hunting. After two months of hard scouting it was awesome to see some of it pay off! He got this bird on saturday afternoon after breaking it off a group and getting it to thirty yards before he let him have it. Were heading to eastern oregon this weekend with our dads to see if we can get into some bigger birds. Im pretty sure he was hooked after hearing our first gobble but if that didnt do it than getting this bird deffinatly did!

Re: OSU Turkey
About 6 years ago I was cleaning critters on the grass behind Sackett as well. Sweet pic it's always nice to see camo or waders on campus.

Re: OSU Turkey
beavermike -
Actually I had two people come up and talk to us asking what we used and commenting on how they didnt realize how big they were...haha...there were some people that didnt really want to see it but no one seemed upset or disgusted.
osulogger -
No we hunted some private land and in some other forests but not around Dunn, I didn't know there were many birds up there, sounds like I have some more scouting to do!
Go Beavs!

Re: OSU Turkey
Isn't Sacket a gals dorm? You guys are one step ahead!
There were no turkeys around Corvallis way back when...
Can you post a picture of a limit of DUCKS on the tailgate next (particularly quarterbacks, recievers and defensive backs)?
Congrats!

Re: OSU Turkey
Nice. I never managed to connect with a bird (got very close) when chasing them down by Alpine and on the McDonald Forest (with Forestry department permit).
Congrats...nice work.
The ucks don't shoot near as many birds as Beavers do, I'm sure of it.
