Default Any deck builders out there?

I am looking to replace our old rotten deck. It would be a simple 12x12 with no rails on ground level.

Do it your self. I'm ripping out our 8x12 as we speak (waiting on the current rain squall) and replacing it with a 12x34. Should take about three days to install.

Its not rocket science and the guys at the project desk in the big blue store will plan it, give you a materials list and permit information, then for a small fee deliver it to your house. You just put it together.

You will save at least half over what you'll pay to have it done.

We replaced our old wood deck last year and opted for Trex, a bit spendy, but hopefully worth it in the long run. Whatever material you decide on, be sure to use pressure-treated posts and beams throughout.

Its more of a lack of time issue with me. Also, I have the ability of turning the simple into a costly error.

Contact John Barth. For the life of me I can not remember his moniker, but Crayfin will know it and I remember that his Dad posted on the Grant Mcomie final gone thread on the main page. MR. Kitchen Pass will also know how to reach him.
