Flotilla 3.5 ?
I spoke with a couple of people from the board about having a Flotilla 3.5 before Flotilla 4. All that I asked were definately in favor.
I am certainly not trying to step on anyones toes organizing Flotilla 4. It is just an idea, as Flotilla 4 is a great idea, and I am participating in it. Flotilla 4, will require having a boat with motor, so if you have a drift boat without a motor, you need to find a ride.
I mentioned having a Flotilla 3.5 on the Clackamas River. This is a river both driftboats and sleds can run. It is close to Portland and can handle a lot of boats. I was thinking maybe mid January or early February.
Let me know on this thread if you are interested.
Thanks,
Troy

Re: Flotilla 3.5 ?
Spooled, any time I can get away and fish....I guess I got to be there. I'm in. I think its a great idea since the Springers are a little ways away.
It would be a welcome warm up for the springers.

Re: Flotilla 3.5 ?
Spooled, count me in as I am trying to learn the Clack and would possibly have an open seat for a know it all that can catch fish. I've only been fishing the lower river, trying to learn how to use plugs without running into the unknown waters.
Just what I need, an excuse to get out onto the river.

Re: Flotilla 3.5 ?
Troy: As one of the organizer for f4, I see no problem having a f3.5 or for that matter a 3.6 3.7 etc until the spring thingy.
I would like to float that river now that I have next years out of state Or. License.

Re: Flotilla 3.5 ?
Thanks Walt, I was hoping to avoid any conflict with you guys organizing Flotilla 4. It was fun meeting you on Flotilla 3 and look forward to seeing you at future Flotillas.

Re: Flotilla 3.5 ?
Count me in I have a arm powered drift boat. I would love to go. I think that these float trips are a great idea and we should have a few more of them. Mabey #5 could be in the clack for springers in May.

Re: Flotilla 3.5 ?
I would love to go!
I have never fished the Clack, or the Sandy out of a drift boat!

Re: Flotilla 3.5 ?
Kilchis has not pooped in the house for 2 weeks now! We had a dinner celebrating this fact tonight!
However, he is still having trouble with the pee pee part.
By the time flot3.5 comes, he will be cured, I am sure!!!

If you so much as call him pee pee dog, I will need a plastic bag and shovel... But not for picking up dog messes!

Re: Flotilla 3.5 ?
I'M IN!!! Finally, my home river!! I live on the Clackamas right next to McIver park. I have a 16 ft Koffler drift boat and would love to run it with you all. Remember that there is no shuttle service on this river. When are we going?

Re: Flotilla 3.5 ?
Gizmo,
Great Idea lets get the date selected and go pick on some stealhead before they turn colors on us. I have a 16' clackacraft Magnum just waiting to go. Heck I will even row if somebody will run my pole.

Re: Flotilla 3.5 ?
Troy and others in the Portland/SW Washington area...
As these outings are becoming popular and some people have to miss some of the outings, is there any interest in a trip of the month thingy....
Just need to have people step up and suggest a river , time and place to meet.
Any interest????

Re: Flotilla 3.5 ?
Spooled, You are just dying to bring out that secret weapon for a Clackamas Floatilla arent you?
Should be fun for you to fish a floatilla, and catch some steelies while fishing.
I just brought my drift boat back today from the coast today, count me in, when is it??

Re: Flotilla 3.5 ?
Jennie, I was kinda waiting to see if enough people were interested. It looks like we have enough people from this board alone to put it together. Not much interest on Bob's board so far.
The only weekend I can't make it is January 25-27 due to a snowmobile trip. Any input from others for a date is welcome.
