Re: bibs/ rainwear
I think one of my clients has a set of those and he really likes them. The ones he has cost around $300, if those are what you are looking at.

Columbia Titanium coat, liner and pants. I had the coat and it worked great for wind, rain and cold. Just got the liner and pants from Santa and can't wait to put them to the test.

Re: bibs/ rainwear
Years ago for cold weather fishing in the snow and ice I used to wear snowmobile coveralls. I liked the coveralls because it fits right over your pant and shirt, easy to slip on and take off. If you go this route buy a suit large enough to accomodate fleece pants and jacket underneath if you need extra warmth. This time of year you may not need rain protection as much as cold weather clothing. Looking at the prices you could also save money rather then buying a seperate pant and jacket.
If it's really rain protection your looking for, nothing beats rubber rain gear, nothing.
best of luck,
Gregg

Re: bibs/ rainwear
Im with lipripper, I have the columbia sortswear outergear. I love them , I never get wet and they cut the wind. I was wearing the jacket over my waders last year and slipped into almost neck-deep water and I didnt get a drop of water inside(except around my neck from the splash).Lifetime warrenty - I called about it the other day for my hunting bibs and they said they would replace them no problem.

Re: bibs/ rainwear
I have been looking at the Cabelas guide wear also. Here is the link to the web page. cabelas guide wear I am not sure but Columbia may make the Guide wear for Cablela's. They are almost identical to some of Columbia's Stuff. I know Danner makes boots for under the Cabela name.

Re: bibs/ rainwear
I've had my Guide Wear for over 5 years now and I LOOOOOOOVE my guide wear! Best gear investment I ever made. I have the uninsulated bibs and then got an inexpensive ski bib (nylon quilted type) for insulation that way I can wear them during warmer rains without over heating, more versatility. Add a pair of Gortex boots and you will be water PROOF from head to toe. BTW, Did I mention that I really like my Guide Wear?!
