Default Help. Spinner and Salmon ???s

Let me first say that in few weeks, my girlfriend's Dad is coming out from South Dakota during his down time as a farmer to install new cabinets in our house. His one request is that I take him out one day to fish when we are done. I have managed to become decent at catching steelhead on a jig and float, but here are my questions.
1. Should we try for salmon and steelhead, with spinners on the Lewis, Wilson, or Kalama, what do you guys think?
2. What is the best technique when it comes to bankie spinner fishing? A slow retrieve in pools or rapids or something else? Also when fishing lets say a #4 Blue Fox, do you let it sort of bounce along the bottom, or just above it?
I don't fish spinners much I'm always worried I am going to accidently snag or fish, or that someone is going to think I am trying to snag a fish, which I don't do. Help

My father in-law is a corn farmer from Junction City. He comes to visit once a year and wants to fish.
I set him up with a bobber and jig. (pink&white of course)
Take him to where you know the water, Flat top of a tailout. and enjoy the day.

I would cross my fingers and ask if someone would take you out on the columbia after springers. I'm sure when the time comes you could talk one of us into it.
