Default Wilson Sunday

Fished with my brother in law Fubby Stucker on the Wilson Sunday. We fished right below Chuck-n-Duck. Great fishing, hooked 12, landed 8. One of the fish I lost was a Chinook, that got caught in the anchor rope of the boat below us. Fought it for 10 minutes or so. Fubby asked if I wanted him to chase it in the boat, I said no. All my fault, but I didn't want to have to get our spot back. It was early and that would have been my limit, and I didn't want to sit for the rest of the day. People thought we were crazy not to chase it, and would have thought I was nuts if I released it. Just as well. If you were in the boat that the fish got into the anchor on, it was no fault of yours. We released all day to keep fishing.

Chuck-n-Duck got his limit also. Nice to see you again Dana. We also met Wet Willie.

It was really nice to see you again as well Troy. After you started releasing fish at daybreak, I was wondering if I should have let you anchor infront of us  . We finally started hooking fish at around 9. All in all, I think we hooked 7 or 8, landed our four, and called it a day around noon. We went back on Monday, and it was a totally different story. The east wind was blowing so hard, feeling a drift was nearly impossible. We only hooked two steelies and one skunky chinook. It really was too bad that you couldn't have landed that nook on Sunday. If you had released it, you can bet that you would have gotten an earful from our boat  .

Shoot me an email sometime and we can hook up for a Siletz drift.

Nice going Spooled and Flubby Stucker. Too bad about the Nookie  Oh well it was just a chinook Glad to here C&D and WW hooked up as well. Sounds like a great day on the river.

I got blanked twice this weekend on the Clackamas. I am guessing I was not the only one either from the sounds of it.

Congrats!!! Spooled, thanks for the B-day gift. I'll put them to good used. That is if I ever get a steelhead to the boat this year.
