Default Two Thumbs Up For Traks44's Response

I couldn't have agreed more. Sometimes it is pretty embarrassing living on the west side of the state.

Traks44 was wrong about one thing regarding the hunt board majority. See below:

I never refered to the hunting board, I was speaking about the state level and where the majority would probably be. I know where the hunting board stands....

Although this post is completly uneeded, it has made me smile after a rather long weekend. Thanks for the support guys

I am laughing with and backing you all at the same time. The I-5 corridor usually has no clue what is real over east.

I was born in The Dalles, lived in Dufur and was moved to "The Valley" at an early age. I am almost embarrassed to say I live here when it comes to talking this stuff with my relatives over there. (Dufur to Umatilla)

My girlfriend is a Seattle native, private school type. She got an earful this weekend about how most of Oregon is rural and gets no say.

She is still my girlfriend because she got it...quick! She understands the tree hugging and wolf loving community is nuts. She hates sea lions, and the reference that wolf=sea lion is quite accurate.

We read that Eastern Oregon wants to be another state! Love the idea!

Let's keep the common sense in the forefront.

I had to stay out of that thread - Traks you did a fine job of saying things - nicely and to the point which is better than I could do.
Anyway, before you go running for the President, how about you run for something local first and fix things here in Oregon - you have my support!!

I read your post and I agree and feel your pain. On a national level this is what happens to the states like North and South Dakota. People in big cities in the liberal states pass laws on things that directly affect us but not them. Rural Washington and Oregon face the same thing from Seattle and Portland but more so because of how directly state laws impact their lives. Take a 503 voter and move him or her to rural Oregon and make their entire livelihood and their families hopes and dreams depend on a few hundred head of beef or sheep for five years and then check back with them. I bet their whole voting agenda would have done a complete 180.

I must have missed something here. But the front page of the east oregonian has a group wanting to split oregon and make a eastern oregon another state then we could make our own regulations.

Better have the tax base to pay for all the state services....from what I read, the guy spearheading the effort said he really hadn't figured that part out yet.

Not that I disagree with what everyone is saying, since I live in the "State of Jefferson"

Group eyes Eastern Oregon as 51st state
Lets not get off topic. I started a new thread on the LIG Brd to discuss this topic.

BTW, BlackbearDown just sent me some new wolf pics from the Durkee area that he asked me to upload.
I'll get them them up and give details over on the Sled Springs Wolf Sighting thread.
(these are close up pics!!)

Sounds like he is calling people on the west side stupid which is against ifish policy inferring that you are embarrased by the opinions of your neighbors is to imply that they are stupid. I have been reprimanded on this site for far less offensive talk...

just want to see a little fairness here

No not because you disagree, but they way you do it.

"Go wolves and cull the elk herds!!! take a few free range cows and sheep too..."

Stupid, mean and Judgemental?..... I think you covered all three with that last statement.

These are peoples livelyhoods. You'd probaly be ****** too if somebody came in to McDonalds and started to steal the food while you are making the fries...

This thread needs to get deleted because the topic starter came here just to tell people that they are stupid because they disagree with him...

I couldn't come on here and call people stupid they should kick me off here for 2 weeks... This thread is in crystal clear violation of Ifish rules....

The only person using the word stupid is you. Why is that? You're making way too many assumptions and you could choose not to respond to this thread instead of geting all fired up in a debate you're obviously losing. Just my.
