Default How low to go?

Swapping out my pump motor for a prop. After mounting the new motor up I question if it is in the water far enough. What do you think?

It depends on how much water your boat drafts. It looks like it will work ok though. as soon as you get on it, it will be under the water well. it should be under the water the way it sits.

Your cavitation plate should line up with the bottom of the boat. Don't expect to go anywhere fast with the current position.

is the cavitaion plate the flat deal just above the prop? You'll have to forgive me, I am more familiar with a jet set up.

Thanks Guys. I will lower it down to where the cavitation plate is even with the bottom of the boat.

hello, i know in the past that i've talked about anodized zinc anodes. well the anode attached to the hull is a classic zinc anode that has self anodized.

When I had my Jet removed for a prop, Stevens put on a 6" extention kit and that probably made it just long enough to get by. It it was any shorter, it would not work. HT

Me too SS, I thought it looked pretty good. I took a filler plate/jack plate type deal out and re-mounted the motor and it looks like it was made to order!
Thanks again. I should be able to test it out as soon as I get a part for the tiller conversion I am still lacking.
