Default Perfect times to fish...

I suppose you would have the rivers pretty much to yourself on Christmas!
Anyone ever fish on Christmas day? I haven't, and it isn't an option for me, with kids... But I'd like to someday!
It's funny. A member told me that when ifish was small, you could get really good accurate fishing reports.
Now that it is bigger, he knows when to fish by counting the posts on ifish.
If there are very few, then he knows he should not be sitting at his computer!
I thought that was funny. It's really true though!
Have a Merry Christmas, everyone!
It's a really fishy looking day today, and I'm going!!!

Fishing Christmas morning has been a "holiday tradition" for me for the last 20 years. You have the river to yourself. The roads to yourself. And the fish to yourself.
With how the rivers are shaping up it looks like Santa will be bringing steelhead for Christmas.

Merry Christmas to all

The right time to fish is any time you can, as long as you're in the right place at that right time.

I didn't start fishing until after 8 today and we got our first hookup about 9:45.

I snuck out last year after all the Christmas morning mayhem, about 9:00 a.m. Had a limit by noon, back in time to carve the Roast I popped in the oven on the way out. Didn't feel a bit guilty, and I enjoyed Christmas so much that my wife said I have to take her with me tomorrow.
