Default Ammo prices

Any of you folks have an idea of prices on fmj .40 sw ammo at Bi Mart

Are they any cheaper than Wally world.Who I have found so far has the best prices anywhere on Blazer Brass,($12.40) for 50 rds.
Remington UMC ($67.88) for 250 rds.and
Winchester White box.($26.88) for a 100 rds.

Ive been in the process of accumulating a bunch of ammo, and will save the brass and eventually start reloading.

Thanks,
HntnFsh

I picked up a box of Remington UMC from Bi Mart on sale for about $70.00 (250 rounds). That was about two weeks ago. I am interested to see who has the best prices.

Don't buy the Blazer stuff if you plan to reload. That Aluminum junk is Berden primed and non-reloadable.

Short of bulk mail order re-mfg'd, those prices are about as good as your gonna see locally. Bimart does do their Sales (typically $2 off) and I'd recommend you snag up the Winchester stuff during such sales.

Here's something to think about.....
You expect to pay $12-13/50rds for this ammo.....X how many boxes?....1000rds worth?... to get enough brass to reload. That's 20boxes @ $12/box or $240/1000

A Dillon 550B progressive is only a little over $300 and you could be saving even more money on your rifle ammo as well.
At one time I loaded 45acp 200gr SWC for $3/50. Not sure what the cost is today as I'm still working on kegs of powder, bullets & primers bought prior to Y2K. But I'm sure the costs are 1/2 or less. Buy the time you amass the brass you'd have paid for the Dillon. Buy the Dillon now and start saving that money now. Soon those around you will be begging you to load for them too....and the press will be paid for in no time.

Trust me, all my presses have paid for themselves a few times over.
Invest in the loader now, not after buying 1000rds at retail prices.

Ahhhhh......we've won!!!
I've been waging a personal slander campain to get that alum & steel junk removed from the market. If it's not reloadable it just stays on the ground as litter. (same w/ that steel junk.) Brass is snatched up and we clean up after each other.
Thanks for the clarification! This is good news.

Some steel cases are reloadable. If it is boxer primed and you pick it up before it rusts you can reload it. I have done it with 45acp cases.

True, but from what I've read they are very hard on chambers.
