Default Car key questions

I have a 2003 Buick Lesabre..with one of those remote key push pads which has broken...dealer wants $60 for replacement and another $30 for coding it again...any ideas on options... Thanx

Not really you could try to see if one comes up on craigslist but with it being thatnew the dealer is the only one who cna get it i believe...

I needed a Mercedes two-track key made ($45 a pop, ouch) and the locksmith I went to had remotes on hand that were pretty reasonable. I bought a spare while I was there, and he coded it. I don't remember the $$, but it was less than that outrageous key that he cut.

never mind you need a scan tool to program the FOB. Get a FOB off ebay and go to the tech college, they will have the equipment to program it.
