daisy/spreader bars?
I want to give these a shot this year but I have no clue where to start and what to get. I looked through the archer catalog and there are just so many to pick from.
Most people in our waters just use single clones so i was thinking that the daisy chains and spreader bars might be fairly productive down here. I know you guys use them a lot, can you give me any advice on which ones to get and where you run them in your spread?
Thanks!

Re: daisy/spreader bars?
What works well for us are the 4.25" teasers on "Little Bars" dark or light colors with opposite color chase baits. Add a couple of Little Meatball bars and run 2-4 of the little bars behind them.
Run the Meatball bars on the corners (1st or 2nd wave) and run the Little Bars on waves 3-6...DON'T put the gear any further back than the 5th-6th wave.
You want the bars to run just out of the water...front of the wave.
Late season the little 2.75" teasers work well when the fish switch to smaller bait fish...again more bars are better than less.
Adding a Toad Teaser will help raise picky fish. But keep it close to the boat.

Re: daisy/spreader bars?
That other web site, fishing forum, has a whole section dedicated on spreader bars by the king of spreader bars. (FA)
Very useful information and also reference to how successful the NW tuna fishermen have been, using such a concept compared to the Southern Cal guys. Check it out. It's always good to learn new ideas. I took my teasers and jumpers last year to San Diego to fish tuna and just slaughter them.
Word of caution on the photo of men siting on there boat and tuna lying on the docks. (I believe the boat looks like a caterman or something) Those NW fishermen are not real. The tuna was bought and staged. I'm surprised those fishermen are not wearing there pink skirts. That has to be a west side of the docks kind of a thing.

I would follow the advice above and visit the Fred Archer forum on BDs.
Or come to the Lab in NW on Thursday and I'll have a few to look at.

It's a westside eastside typical argument. Segregational tuna boat fishing can work James. Why do you think I got everyones DSC numbers? To avoid where you are fishing so that the dock looks like that every time. LOL
Nice jab. I like it.

Oh Bernie. I was waiting to see how long it would take you to respond.
(not that the comment was about you, per say)
I feel the love.
Thanks for making my day!
By the way, you don't want to fish where I'm fishing.
You won't be able to lift the hogs I get into.
