spring fever
There were at least four spring chinook caught at Sellwood today, one by my son-in-law. Chief caught another one Saturday to go with his Friday the 13th fish...Lots of early fish around!

Re: spring fever
Both were missing fins...when I say caught, it means in the boat...if it'd had a fin, I'd call it "released."
Some releases are voluntary, some aren't.
An involuntary release (some call those "conservation releases") is always a wild fish...

Re: spring fever
Most people here don't get spring fever. We get "Springer Fever" Followed closely by Summer Silver Salmon Sickness. This is quickly replaced by Fall Hawg Fever, which is then followed by sniffle of senile steelhead symptoms. In between, we have a few sturgeon sneezes and cutthroat wheezes. All in all, we stay "sick" just about all year long!

Re: spring fever
Jennie you forgot to mention Halibut fever and TUNA FEVER. But I think that Springer fever is just about the worst for me along with tuna running a close second.
I will be viaing for my first Springer this coming saturday at a secret location.
