Default Re: Springers ih the big river

Springers ususally start late Feb early March and really gets going good mid April and tapers off through June.

The most common types or gear used in the lower river are probably (in no particular order)

1: Herring
2: Spinners
3: Quikfish/ Flatfish
4: Mag wiggle warts
5: Prawn spinner rigs

Most of these are fished with some type of diver or lead dropper line. lenght of dropper can range from a foot to 4 ft.

Areas that are fished depend on Tides and your preference of tackle.

Hope that helps
