Does anyone know where I might find a Shimano 201SG wormgear? Ollie Damons told me out was out so I thought that I would ask you guys.

Re: I need a Shimano 201SG wormgear.
Hey Grant, I hear a zebco 201 combo works great for worm gear (red/white bobber, size 8 hook). Don't know why you'd want to spend so much money on bluegills but to each his own I guess...

Perhaps waiting for one on ebay might be the trick. Here is a right handed one. Although it may not be a wormgear

Left and Right hand retrieve models are not interchangable unfortunately. Thanks anyway.

Hey Ben, rumor has it that you have the worm gear for that reel. The story that I heard has Grant getting it when he prys it out of your cold dead fingers. Being the stand up guy that you are, you should just slip it into his stocking on Christmas morning.
OK Grant, I did it, now where are my eggs!

I've got a worm gear for a 201 SG, except it's rather spendy, worth about $125, make me an offer. I'll even throw in the rest of the reel for good measure.

What kind of shape is it in?? I dont need a worm gear but I wouldnt mind having another 201. In fact, I'll trade you two 251's for your 201.

Grant
I did a little research and found a wormgear for a 201SG. They want $4 for the wormgear, part no. BNT 175 and they want $2.75 for the paul part no BNT 0042.
Now lets talk about how many pounds of Amerman Eggs its worth to get the phone number.
Looking forward to hearing from you

Re: I need a Shimano 201SG wormgear.
Grant
I called Scott and he suggested you give me 1 quart of eggs for each number in the phone number. That seems a little steep to me   I thought you guys were buddies  I will give you the first few numbers and you only have to pay 1 quart for each of the missing phone numbers.
Reel parts are at 1-800-3XX-XXXX
Scott said he would sell the eggs to you at the "improved" special of $199.99 for a case of 12 qts.
Let me know if dad is feeling like Santa or if you need the number.

Re: I need a Shimano 201SG wormgear.
Grant,
ry Jim Tornow over in Corvallis. He had some parts for the 201's. I bought a new gear set for mine a couple years back.
I just recieved a near mint 251 SG for my birthday.

One is in very good working order as it is my reel loaded with PowerPro for float fishing. Another is in good working condition. Its still smooth and in decent shape except it makes a little noise on the retrieve...
I fished 251's before I ever fished a 201 but GOD, the 251's just arent nearly as smooth and as good of a reel as the 251's IMHO.
I traded these 251's for a MINT never taken apart, used twice 201 I won off Ebay...oh how I wish I could take that back.
