FISHRITE IS BACK....THANK GOD!!!

Well guys I'm back after about a month and a half. As most of you know my house burned down on November 15th. We lost everything. Both cars, my 18' sled, my dog, cat, everything that we owned, and had accumulated over the last 36 years. But I am so grateful to God

that the smoke alarm worked and that we were able to get out of the house alive and were not burned at all. I went back in after my dog and almost did not make it out. God has been so faithful in providing for our every need. :smile: Our church, with the help of Rod Cottis (Fishin' Eddie) and Billy Morrison (Texas Rig), has really helped in providing meals and having us over during those very hard first few days. Thanks for all the Emails and the kind words. I read all of them from my hotel room...sorry that I couldn't respond because I couldn't log on. If anyone has a open seat once in awhile...I would like to go as soon as I get a rod and reel. I will probably be seen with Rod and Billy alot this spring cause the old "hope ya start sled" is a melted pile of aluminum on the garage floor now. :depressed: :depressed:

Good to have you back on board Terry, our God is so good. I know he has plans for his people plans that we do not understand. You and you wife have a lot of people praying for you and I am thankful that I have that opportunity.

Roland....thanks for the invite in your boat. Maybe we can put a bass trip together when the weather warms up. I'll bet Noah is really growing up. I can remember how cute he was playing with Britian. Terry

It is good that you and your family got out alive and that is all that is important. It is good to see that you are recovering from all your losses. I dont know what I would do in that situation. I would be broken.

Hey Terry, glad you and Lori are coping with the situation. The good Lord was certainly watching over you folks that night. Rod did a good job keeping me informed of what was going on. Good to have friends like them around aye?

You're welcome on my boat anytime Terry. Of course you will have to become a weekend fisherman on a saturday though. Can't get out during the week much these days.

Glad you are back Terry.

Sorry you couldn't save your dog. I have thought alot about what would happen to our dog if we had a fire. I hope you can rebuild your home to the fullest. God bless you and your family. I will be happy to take you fishing when you are ready. Just let me know and i will run some days by you.

Fishrite...don't know ya, never met ya, feel for ya. Thats really gotta suck losing everything you own. I am getting a boat soon and can fish during the week. Will let you know when I am headed out and you can show me how to catch fish

Hey Terry, when I first was told what happened to you my throat hit my stomach, I was in shock. I prayed for you and kept in touch with Rod to follow your progress. I was also told of the scarlet rope and did that bring on a smile to my face to know God was showing himself to you during that time. I just can't imagine how you must have felt losing all you did but it's obvious Jesus is firmly implanted in your heart!

Let's get in touch soon to drift a river, preferably a coastal river with chrome hogs (steelies). I like to fish during the week to get away from the warriors and where I go there usually isn't any other pressure. Send me an email so we can hook up.

Welcome back. Heard of your loss on the news and was shocked when it appears on the board as one of 'us'.

AndyCoho: Thanks for the offer of equipment. I have been given a good steelhead outfit by a friend of mine. I also picked up a drift rod from my son....so I am OK for now. I would love to go out with you sometime however. I am retired and have plenty of time off. Thanks for you concern and thoughtfulness....I really appreciate it. Terry, I have gone through loosing everything also. It is very hard to start over but you can make it. God was shining down on you and your wife that night that you survived.
You can go fishing in my boat anytime. I usually have an extra seat and extra equipment.

I had been lurking in the shadows and had not yet become a member but I did read of your loss. That is a very damaging ordeal to go through, I would have been a mess. You must have quite the spirit to pull through the way you have. I would enjoy a fishing trip with ya if you don't mind banking it (I have a boat, just not a drifter) Let me know.

if an open seat will help in anyway. I can help. Always an open seat in my sled. And as soon as the weather clears ( springer get here) e-mail me and well put together a trip.

Thanks so much for you invitation. I would love to go springer fishing with you this spring. I am retired and can go at any time. I am really going to miss my sled. I hope to get another one soon. But there are sooooo many things to buy now that it will have to wait. :depressed: I am really going to miss all those good eggs that I lost (about 50 quarts).
