Default Conversion to long shaft cost?

Does anyone know what a ballpark figure would be to pay someone to convert a 15 hp Johnson from a short shaft to a longshaft?

Also is this something that can be done by someone of modest mechanical abilities? Bearing in mind I'd rather be fishing than working in my garage, but I also have a hunch it would take a while at a boat mechanic anyway?

Many thanks.
