Man what a beautiful day on the water today! We hit our spot around noon and had the river to ourselves until we left around dark. I saw two maybe three boats at Kelley Point and a couple anchored by the cranes but that's about it. We caught about 14 shakers and hit a nice 56 inch fatty on the last cast of the day. 15 fish for 2 rods with 4 hours to fish. The cool thing is all the shakers averaged about 36 inches and we did not catch one under 33 the whole day. They were really fat and seem to me to be ocean fish. The biggie that my buddy tagged was really fresh from the salt for his scupes were as sharp as razors. All fish were caught on smelt with no smell. If you sprayed or injected anything on it, it was no good. Really weird hugh? They wanted smelt with no side order of smelly sauce. Gotta do the work thing for the next four days but will try and hit it again before Christmas.
