Re: GOOD day on the willy! ((photos))
I would really like to thank rich for the guide trip on the willy. I learned allot from you! I have never fish some of the type of water you had us fishing. Out in mid river. Hope your truck is better! I have my boat over at my house so any time you would like to hit that lake.
Thanks!
Roger

Hi Roger, can you please tell us more? I'm curious what made the water seem less attractive, yet surprisingly productive. Thanks for continuing to teach us less experienced Bass fishers!

Re: GOOD day on the willy! ((photos))
Yes Kstock I would be glad to voice my views on why.
We got about 5-7 bass from the willy and all the other bass (about 20) from the OTHER water. The other water was more off colored and I think it was just a bit warmer than most of the willy. The current was not as strong in the other water also. I think some of the bass in the willy moved it to the other area and teamed up with the fish already in the other water. We found 80% of the fish we caught in two spots. We got about 15 bass from one spot. It was all about temps. and current. The bass were all very near the current! We tried all kinds of places but none as productive as the other water. I fished 95% of the time with the drop shot 3 inch senko. I also fished a plastic craw bait on a drop shot rig and a split shot rig. Rich got some fish on lures other than a 3 inch senko but I think he got most of his fish on the senko drop shot. We had some nice weather a few days before we hit the water and I think that helped a bunch. I was very impressed with that stretch of the river! The bass were active and fought well.
Kstock I thank you for asking the question and I think several others are very glad you did too!
Thanks!
Roger
