Default Boater tip of the day

O.K.....When was the last time you changed the fuel/water seperator on your sled?? Supposed to do it about every 6 months I think, or maybe yearly.

I had some problems with water in my gas (fixed now)...but there's nothin' like havin' your 200 shut down in a narrow fast spot on a river like the Clack. No fun. Lucky for me I was within sight of the ramp, and the water was at the "right" level for me to get back to the ramp.

And besides ...this time of the year, you get the gas with the alcohol additives, which help with condensation of water in your fuel tank.

Just thought I'd offer this as a friendly reminder.

They're only about $6,$7,$8 bucks.

Available at GI Joes, Fisherman's, Steven's, etc.

Thanks, FM. Hopefully, your message will remind all the other folks like it did me. Columbia isn't any fun to have your main thruster crap out on you either and sturgeon/walleye time is approaching if the rain ever quits!

Mark
The boat is 6 years old next week, you mean I am suppose to change that filter in the fuel line    I've seen it hanging it there.

Maybe I need to check the number and try to find one, it has probably served more duty than designed for.
