Lucky you...Mortac also carries the 4.5 blades you seek. Not sure about the half&half. I don't use those. Instead, use a brass body with a silver blade or vice-versa. Remember...the blade is usually spinning at a pretty good clip. Think the fish can see half&half? I doubt it. Maybe they see a combo color of??? Anyhow, the blades you want are available. Go to www.mortac.com.

Default PENTAC... Make Someone's Christmas...

Listen up, now here's the deal. I have heard of Pentac, and know only a little of the history behind the company. I do know that they don't exist as a business anymore, but at one time they had great lure parts. I was told that Mortac doesn't make all the parts that Pentac used to, but I'm not old enough to know of or have any Pentac lure parts.

So here is my PLEAD to all of you that can spare a few blades. I am looking for silver blades in the 4.5 size, and half-n-half blades. I don’t know why these are good, but I was told that I should be looking for these. If anyone would be willing to make my Christmas and sell me some blades, I would be most thankful. If you don't want to spare several blades, then maybe several people can spare one blade each. If you don’t want to post here, please e-mail me at mat353@aol.com

I thought mortac only carried bodies in the 4.5 size. Come-on, no one can spare me a few blades? I'm told they make a difference, so why not try to get one?

You can make the half-&-half yourself. Start with a silver blade and use course polishing compound to remove the silver plating in the desired area.

Seems that these blades are a rare treasure... No really, those people who have blades, you must not be in the jolly season. Didn't want to break out the pink okies, but hey, they are also a high price. Maybe someone would also like to share some pentac spoons.

RDL-
Well that's a hoot! Last 4.5 blades I bought came from them. Had no idea the hose-heads discontinued them. Guess the price of mine just went up, but they're not for sale....sorry. Those were the premium of blades in my book.

And...I don't have any spoons, screwed up on that one. Okies are pretty easy to come by though, I have several of those in different colors.

Sorry I gave you a bum steer...I was looking in the last catalogue I received from them, but it's a couple years old. :depressed:
