Default New to ifish

Hello to everyone, bear with me I'm new to this. But not to the sport of fishing. I just got a computer and technology has never been my friend.
Let me tell you alittle bit about myself. I have been fishing in Oregon for the past 30 years, for salmon and steelhead. My favorite rivers is the NF and Nehalem Bay. My home river is the Clackamas. I fish mostly out of my 20' NorthRiver sled and bank fish the NF. I'm a carpenter by trade. I don't get to fish as much as I would like, But I do whenever I get a chance. Fishing is not only a sport with me it's my passion. I'm happy to be part of this and hope to see you on the rivers.

Take Care and Happy Holidays!

Welcome Spinnermaker, don't fret the computer stuff, most of us are still learning to adapt to this technology. Just like you, I prefer to fish, not computers. But isn't this high tech cool!? Now we virtually fish 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

With 30 years of salmon and steelhead experience, I'm sure you'll have fun on this board and able to help with lots of the discussions.

Nice to have you aboard,

Gregg

Spinnermaker,

Welcome to this board. If you hve been fishing the n.Fk. Nehalem for many many years, chances are very good that we have fished together. That river was my go to giver for about 10 years in the late 70's early 80's. For 2 years, it was the only river I fished for Steelhead.

So you see, you already have some friends here, you will make many more and learn some new things. Be willing to share and bring your sense of humor. Oh and by the way, watch out for someone named Bait-O-Eggs, rumor has it that he is using this board to lure un-suspecting males into his boat on long secluded drifts. Forewarned is forearmed. Welcome to the group of die hard fisherman. All of whom seem to be intreged with their Trophy Steelhead games during the period of high water and rain. You pick some very good rivers to fish. I grew up in Oregon City, so I knew the Clackamas, Molalla and the Willamette. In later years, it was trips to No. Fork and Wilson.

You will enjoy your visits here. Just don't bring any bananas with you. Good fishing.
