AS THE LOW DIGS SOUTH INTO SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON AND NORTHWEST

PLUMMET TO VALUES SIMILAR TO THOSE DURING THE RECENT SPRING BREAK

POSSIBLE TO NEAR THE VALLEY FLOORS.

THIS COLD AIR WILL ALSO LIKELY RESULT IN SOME NEAR RECORD MORNING LOW

AND MONDAY MORNINGS. MORNING LOW TEMPERATURES COULD FALL TO BETWEEN
25 AND 30 AT SEVERAL LOCATIONS. BE SURE TO BE READY TO PROTECT ANY
VULNERABLE SPRING PLANTS THIS WEEKEND.

The La Nina sytem offshore is really messing with things this year. The latest Earthweek (today's) talked about how the La Nina is expected to create cooler summer weather as well, which means early Spring (at least our typical early spring weather) may last through May, and we may not get a "true" summer. Hooray... er.. wait... I suppose as long as the Santiam water hits 50 I'll be happy. I want the Willamette Falls counts to start climbing.

That darn global warmingThe snow is so deep on hood our ski tips allmost touched the ground and they have runs closed so the skiiers dont run into the people on the chair-This was last weekend very spooky for this time of year. The forcast is for some nice powder this weekend if you cant beat it might as well go play in it. The willy looks very fishy for this weekend too, if ya dont ski. The century drive lakes will be big time full wile receiving little pressure till the snow abades and the willy will run high through august not to mention good flows all summer for white water kayak. John day is going to be runnable long in to the summer. I love portland, I dont think I saw over 1/4 " of snow in my yard this year.

I just want to go fishing--without my mid-January waterfowl clothes on. Arh! On the bright side, the garage is cleaned out, household chores caught up, and work hours almost enough buffer to take a day off when spring finally does arrive. Columbia R. 60 degrees is a looong way off!
