Default Newest season of Deadliest Catch

Less than two hours to season four of this great show. I have been watching recap shows of the last three seasons and I can't wait for the new season to start. Who else is a Deadliest Catch fan? SG

If you have Dish Network (like us) than you're able to watch it NOW.

2 new shows tonight. 1st one started at 6pm.

The "Truck" was a brilliant prank on the C Maria.

It's great to have the DC back on.

What happened with Eric and Rolo? He always seemed to have some sort of "issue" either something breaks or some paperwork doesn't get filed or something with the Coast Guard.

What happened to Blake on Maverick? Did he ever get to take over as skipper for more than a few runs?

Love the new Brown crab season. Man that long-line crabbing with all that steel & rope flying around....they have bigger bouys than I do.

I like all the skippers, Sig, Jonathan, Phil, Andy, Keith, but watching the learning curve or crash of the greenhorn I find interesting.

Play the game online

i think that they show it again sometime during the week....i cant remember what days or anything but seems like memory tells me that especially on opening week, they show it on a couple different days at different times. another great show that is along the same lines is Ax Men its about oregon loggers. cant get enough of either of these shows.

It's funny I went to school with the greenhorn guy they called Moi or his first name Jason, He was a puss and a whinner then and now he's still like that but doing it on tv 20 years later. I hadn't seen the guy since school and he was just like that.

He hasn't been seen since Phil took him out behind the woodshed for broadcasting a hotspot on the radio.

I met Jonathon Hilstrand, co Captain of the Time Bandit. My wife and I went to the NASCAR races at Vegas the end of February. We went to the Nationwide on Sat and Cup on Sunday, came home on Tuesday. The Vegas ariport has a tram that goes from the main terminal to a satellite terminal. On the tram there was this guy ahead of me kind of slouched up against the wall, he had on a ratty Harley Davidson black leather jacket, long hair, beard and his baseball cap on backwards. I said to my wife that guy looks really familiar and then I saw his cap said "Bering Sea Fisheries" and I said I think he is on Deadliest Catch. He heard me talking to my wife and he smiled and said "thats me".

Nice guy, we talked for a bit while we walked to the gate. He is just like he is on TV, stays in character, hat on backwards, same black leather jacket, snakeskin cowboy boots, the whole deal. He said he went to the races with Phil Harris and they were supposed to hang out with Tony Stewart at his mtr home after the cup race but Stewart got wrecked both Sat and Sun and he was too sore to make it. I asked him about the series this year and he said it is going to be good.

More stuff, my wife was at the hair dresser this week and there is this older gal there in her late 60's. She was married to a crab boat skipper, who is now deceased, my wife didnt get the name. Anyway, she knows the whole crowd, the Hansens and the rest. She said they are going to do a Deadliest Catch Survivor reality show next winter. They will have a seasoned skipper and deck boss and then have ten newbys and the TV audience picks the survivors and resulting the final crew. Leave it to TV to take a hit and run it into the ground.

All true, I couldnt make this stuff up if I tried.

I worked on a "Time Bandit" in 1983-1985 off and on. Not sure if it is the same boat. Looks the same. I was seasick for about 1.5 weeks then I got used to it. No slack for the greenies you work or get off at the next port stop.

Wife set up to record just in case we can't watch it. Great program. Knew a fisherman that left from Crescent City quite a few years ago to crab, never came back.

That must have been intense. Back then it was still the derby fishery where you only had so many days to crab regardless of the weather. No hiding behind an island and waiting for the weather to lessen. Now it is boat quotas, a lot less crab boats, more time to get your quota and a safer fishery.

Back in the 80's, as I remember the story, they overfished the resource and wound up pretty much shutting down the red (king) crab fishery for a number of years.

Before I retired I was in banking. In the mid 80's some Seattle banks, Seafirst and Rainier, had pretty large inventories of repo crab boats.

Thumbs up Re: Newest season of Deadliest Catch

The Hilstrands will be in Vancouver this weekend signing copies of their new book. I'm going to be there I hope. Can't remember where right now.

You find the website by searching Google I think.

Great new season. Totally understand Johnathon's son bailing on them to be with his own family.....then I would be mad too if I was the father and his son didn't want the tradition going on down the line either.

Great show!!!!!!!!!!!!
