IMHO....still too early and IF ya catch some they're small and skinny.

But after they shut the CR down to springers, you'll see some looking at lakes as an alternative.

I'm saving the gas and staying close to home.

I agree, when this crazy springer season ends, kokanee watch out!

I fished on 4/1 and caught exactly one kokanee. It was 15" long but on the skinny side. This last Saturday I took my wife out with me (thank goodness) and she knocked em dead. She got 6 kokanee to the boat and one Dolly Vardon. That' the first time I've seen one alive. She thought she had the biggest kokanee in the reservoir. She gave me quite a look when I said she had to throw it back. All the fish were pretty fat except one 13" that was a little skinny. Now I said she brought 6 fish to the boat, but I decided it was time for her and my brother-inlaw to learn how to net a fish, so....we only landed 3 of the fish she brought to the boat. Too bad there wasn't a video camera, it was pretty dang funny. At one point I offered to just jump in after one fish after they had thumped it with the net a couple of times, got the net caught on a rod holder twice, and she fell in my lap in the middle of it. They didn't find it as amusing as I did. We had a great time, but man was it windy and rough. Felt like I had been on the ocean at the end of the day.

It's all good, Sean
