Default A great day

Well, maybe not for fishing, but great none the less.

Took my 10yo son to Cottage Grove Res. for the day Sunday on the boat. We fished, ate, fished, ate, fished, made a trail of peanut shells on the water, fished, you get the idea, a great day.

The bad news, we didnt catch a thing. Almost all of his other fishing adventures involed a small canal (Alton Baker) stuffed with stocked trout and catching nonstop.Even without catching anything we were out there for about 8 hours! He did great.

Truth be told, I havent bass fished very much, and almost none at all in the last 20 years. I am thinking that it might take a couple of times for me get bass fishing down. We were out in my Tracker Grizzly, that while being great for duck hunting, gets blown all over the place with the smallest breeze.
But it makes for a great day non the less.

next time our goal is to catch a fish!

Any day out in the boat with the young ones & the dog is a good day to me.
Hang in there, the water will warm up eventually.
