Default Awesome weekend!!!!!!

What a weekend!!!

It all started Saturday morning when I got to meet Ping Jockey (Ben) for the first time for a fun filled day of fishing out of Newport. Ben and his son were excellent hosts and I had a great time getting to know them both.

We just could not seem to get into the fish throughout the day but Ben's son did manage to hook into and land about a 7-8lb ling.

Even though we did not slaughter them like we thought we would it was still a very fun and relaxing day.
After getting back to the marina I had the pleasure of meeting John from the Kismet. He and his crew were great guys and it was with with a sad heart that I had to decline thier offer of some good eats at the crabtilla feed as had things to take care of back at home.

Later that night I took my bottom fishing gear and one of my rod and reals over to let TJFIREBUG and her boyfriend borrow them for fishing from the rocks around Yaquina Head Lighthouse the next morning.

I was very pleased to leave for home with my daughter in tow as she wanted to spend the night with me. We had a fun evening and then the next morning we loaded up the quad and went out to Baber mountain to help work on the trails due to heavy rain damage which caused some run off issues. After a few hours of hard work the powers that B determined all was good and they reopened the trails up for us to enjoy a nice ride that afternoon.

It does not get any better than a fun day of fishing with newfound friends, an evening with his daughter followed by digging water bars along side his daughter and then a fun trail ride and then dinner at IZZYS.

My thanks go out to Ben (Ping Jockey) for a fun day on the salt and to TJFIREBUG (my ex wife and Best friend) for her love, understanding, and support of my spending many happy days with my daughter (actually step daughter but shes my daughter in my heart and soul).
