Default Sandy report

I have never seen the Sandy run this clear before. With the sun out and the water undoubtedly cold (one of these days I'm going to get a thermometer), I kept looking for deeper slow water to fish. Heard of one fish taken on a spinner and saw a fish taken drift fishing. Tons of trailers at the Oxbow ramp. Alas, no fish for me. It was a good day to be out on the water though. I was shucking the warm wear left and right.

Hey Amp:

I know what you mean, I was at Dodge with my dad yesterday and it was like tap water--or clearer... We didn't see a single fish taken though.

Guess it'll be a nice day for a drift anyway.

Speaking of nice boat rides, today was certainly a "couples" day on the water. I probably saw half a dozen boats that were couples out for a float.

Just happend to see two seperate chrome steelies landed on the lower Sandy when my wife son and I were driving down to thousand acres to give the dog a walk. Both fish were chrome bright and released so they must have been nates. Its a real treat when you get to drive the river and see people catching fish. Both fish were taken by guides in sleds that were side drifting, one in the Tads hole, and one above big bend. The upper river holds tons of fish, but theyre spooky because of the clear conditions.
