I have a 4 stroke 9.9 horse that needs service. Where is a good place to take Yamahas?

Nortthriver in Clack is an Authorized Yami sales and service cemter. I have found them to do good work even though I bought a Hewescraft..... unlike some other local "authorized" Yami service centers that won't talk to you if you didn't purchase your boat and engine from them

Ask for Terry at Newport Marine. He is the best there is. He does all my work.

Anybody near Vancouver Washington? My local moron charged me $500 to service the 2 - 4 strokes on my boat last year. He stripped the threads on the oil drain plug, he overfilled the oil by 25% and he only serviced the lower unit oil to about 50% of full. In my opinion, and based on my experience, my local marine dealers are providing about the worst service I have ever seen.
Go ahead and ask: I will name companies, and I will start with S. Marine.

Pacific Boatland in HazelDell is my choise in Yamaha maintenance. They do a very thorough, muti step trouble shooting prosedure on all motors. They fixed my 225 Yami, after two other costly attempts failed.
