What do you mean "spots" ? For bottom fish?

Mac Arch, Pt St George.

Do you have a chart of the area?

Well, you know what a lotta guys here would say right?

Why would you head out into the ocean without a chart....most importantly for safety reasons?

That same chart will show you all you need to find the hard / rocky bottom where the fish are.

So buck up, spend the $15 on the chart for the area

We care about your safety first, then your fish catching second

Mark,
The spot in your picture is a special spot of mine. It is so special my family will be dropping my ashes there when my time is up on this earth.

A few miles north of Brookings there are quite a few islands that all provide good bottom fish habitat. House Rock is the big one (I think). Inside of it, there is very decent shallow fishing, and outside is a great spot to drop a little deeper after lings. Even farther north are Twin Rocks, just 2 rock spires near each other. Anywhere that you mark structure in these areas will hold fish. Also off Harris Beach can be good. When you fish these areas, just stay between the islands and shore, and you should find fish. Watch out for awash rocks, they can be major trouble.
