Re: New plugs
I picked up a few, but haven't used them yet. I really like the looks of the one with metallic pink body/black bill.

Re: New plugs
if the water is fast moving the little ones want to do flips,, but they work good in the slow pools, and are great in low water conditions when fish are spooky.

Re: New plugs
In case anyone might be confused, the lil wiggler is a copy of the old pee wee wart.
He's not talking the wee wigler that is a copy of the old wee wart.
The lil wiggler is the hot ticket for steelhead in northern California.
I haven't tried them yet because I haven't been fishing.
Have never had no problems with the wee wigler except catching too many fish.
Especially the BWW-29.

Re: New plugs
Brad gave me a handful of wigglers after I took him on a sturgeon trip last summer then gave me some of the new ones after salmon fishing with him a day this fall. I am not sure about the number on the wiggler but I was really excited about one that is similar to the old cop car except it is with mother of pearl. I tried it the other day and got hit. The fish bypassed several other plugs and bait to get to it but the rod handler forgot to set the hook. It was on for seconds. I am just learning that people change the center hook to a siwash adding a bead chain and take the back off. Brad is going to start making change over kits for those of you who like this method. I have had great success with the wigglers as I have with the older wiggle warts. As always, they are just one of many things in the tool box.

Re: New plugs
I have one peewee and one steelie wart left in the gold with red back and white belly model I wish he would make some of them they are killers on the siuslaw when the water is milky green.
since I only have those 2 left I been scared to run them much.
anyone know if brads makes that paint scheme ?
the only place in eugene that carries brads is gijoes and I never seen anything close to that color that I could even modify with my air brush.

Re: New plugs
Brad's has a web site where you can see all the colors that they make in the different sizes. The address is: BSFishTales.com

Re: New plugs
Actually there are a lot of plugs not on that website.
My brother built that site about a year ago and hasn't updated it forever.
There is many colors and newer style plugs and wobblers not included on that site yet.
Soon to be new spinner blades and spinners and other miscellaneous toys.
Got to get my brother on the ball and get that site up to date.

Re: New plugs
Hey,
Yes it's the Eric that you are thinking about. I am Brad's cousin and much taller than that smaller side of the family. I am trying to be one of his many field tester dudes. You know, free stuff and all, but he already has too many people that fish for a living out there testing his stuff. Dan's brother manages BS Fish Tales and Brad is open to specialty colors. He can also be contacted at Bob's in Longview Washington to answer questions where he is the Fishing and Marine buyer. I'm sure that he is able to mail out packets reasonable since they don't weigh much but you would have to check with him. The pee wee wigglers(I'm not sure if that is what they're called) came out in several dozen colors geared toward small mouth, but there are many steelhead colors as well. Like I said before, wigglers are just one more thing to have in your tool box. I prefer one of my famously cured globs of eggs, a nice little female shrimp, or one of those jigs my daughter tied for me this weekend, before I put one of those wiggly things on.

Re: New plugs
I'll be darn, it's Eric.
Yea, you and Brad both had fathers that took you fishing & hunting and learned you some meaningfull things in life (referring to the other thread with your daughter).
Small world and I was looking at your daughter proudly tieing those jigs in that thread and didn't realize I was staring a Schoenborn in the face!
Tell your daughter that Dan saw plenty jigs in Brad's tackle box on the EF Lewis the other day but that his friend Dan is a little short on them fish killin' jigs.
I'm glad to have met your father briefly Eric and as Brad has said many times, he was a good man, a very good christian man.
I was fortunate to fish with your dad on the Toutle probably around 5 years ago after it first opened up with Brad.
He caught a chinook that day and me and Brad caught silvers.
Brad was tickled pink for your dad.
Next thing I know Brad tells me your dad is stricken with cancer.
Sorry to hear about your dad, I lost mine early like that too.
Terrible thing to go through.
Well glad to see you on here Eric and I'll show the pic of your daughter to Brad and Duane as soon as they get back from the Allsports show in Vegas.
Might just email the URL over to JoAnn today.

Re: New plugs
Thanks Dan,
I really miss him but there is a box full of pictures and a head full of stories. He talked about that day with you and Brad. Brad and Guy did really well with jigs on the E. Fork last Thurs. We had a 23 fish day last year, 22 on jigs. I grew up fishing with Jim Bradbury 20 years ago and he convinced me back then that jigs were an effective tool. I now crank them out and have Saturday open houses to have my buddies fill their boxes. Everyone that gets a ride in the front of my drift boat now fishes with a jig set up. With some of the colors and supplies out now, you can customize and not go wrong.

Re: New plugs
Got a couple pic's from a guide down in southern Oregon with some steelhead they have caught on the Lil Wiggler's. The first pic is of a steady customer of his from Portland and the second pic is of Troy himself of Troy's guide service in Grants Pass, Oregon.
His best days fishing Lil Wiggler's this year were 15 fish days and he has caught some chinook on them by accident with the stock hooks.
Some of the better colors have been the #03 (nickle/ black back/red belly), #55 (crawdad), #75 (dark metalic copper) and #15 (cerise).
Troy told me his wife Valerie used to be a bait fishermen but is only fishing plugs from now on after her success on them.
I haven't personally tried them yet and have not been fishing winters but will try them for summers this year in the Toutle, Lewis and Cowlitz.
Obviously they catch fish.
