Default Engines and motors

If you had the choice of a electric or electric/gas engine for your boat and trucks for no added expense and the same power. Would you do it ?
I know I will get a electric/gas truck when I can afford it.

I really don't think this is the place for politics but I am just curious. To get the arab boot off our throats we need to get off our oil addiction. It would also be better for the enviorment.
Just a thought

I'm very interested to see how the hybrid engines work out. I think you're right about the "oil addiction" - in the long run we WILL use it all up, the sooner we figure out a new solution the better.

I'm ready for the Star-Trek transporter technology, so I can go fly-fishing in New Zealand if I have a few hours to spare. (there's your fishing content - see!) I guess you need those dilithium crystals and warp engine to power that unit, though.
